Welcome to AuFait
When I was 13, I decided our family's pet Labrador was going to be a showdog. He really wasn't showdog material, but while his career was short-lived, my affair with the sport has lasted over thirty years & counting.
In 1987 I was given a Standard Poodle to handle in the Junior Showmanship State Final... and I was hooked! The character, the intelligence, the humour, the grace & the athleticism of this breed was quite unlike any other. For many years I assisted Lynne Aitken with her Chatain Poodles before acquiring my first Standard in 1994, MBIS Aust Ch Chatain Hell I Can Do That. 10 years later the first AuFait litter was born.
The AuFait Poodles live on 4 acres the beautiful Macedon Ranges & when they don't have their 'party dresses' on at dog shows are very happy chasing rabbits & yelling at kangaroos.
I believe a Standard Poodle must be as sound - both physically & mentally - as it is beautiful. We go to great lengths to breed & raise Poodles that will be a joy & a credit to their owners, a credit to ourselves... and ultimately a credit to our beautiful breed.
